She came up to me one day, looked me straight in the eye and said, “Hi, what’s up? Can I get a drink?” I thought it was nothing serious—that it would die on arrival. But two weeks later, I started noticing my girlfriend on the phone with her all the time, giggling, talking late into the night.
Next thing I hear, she tells me she’s going to spend the weekend with this woman. I was shocked. “What about me?” I asked. She simply said she just wanted a harmless holiday with her. Honestly, it broke me. If it were a guy, maybe I would have confronted him—man to man. But how do you fight a woman over your own girlfriend? What was I supposed to say? “Leave my babe alone”? It made me feel powerless.
